About

Running at Princeton in October 2011

Greetings, readers! I hope you’re enjoying “Steamtown Runner.” My name is Jeremy and I just graduated college with a double major in journalism and philosophy. I also spent all four of my years running cross country and track and field. Now that I’m out of college, I figured why not marry two of my biggest interests, running and writing? Oh, and I’m sure at least a dash of philosophy will make its way in here too.

I originally made this blog primarily to document my journey toward completing my first marathon, the annual Steamtown Marathon, held every October in my hometown of Scranton. I finished the marathon in 15th place with a time of 2:48:28; I now look forward to doing the marathon for many years to come. In addition to that, I’ll be discussing various aspects of the running community and scene in Scranton. From detailing the best places and routes to run in the area to covering local running celebrities and reporting on the big races, I hope to turn this little blog into a great source on running in the Scranton area. Enjoy your stay!

    Hey Jeremy,
We have nominated you for the Liebster Award. It’s for bloggers to nominate other blogs they enjoy reading that have a small following.
Anyway, for the questions we are required to ask you and the list of rules, you can see our blog post where I have nominated you here at:
